Hite Elementary's Hike-a-Thon is in it's 7th Year!

This year’s Hike is our 7th annual event and will take place on Thursday, October 4th.  With the funds raised at the 2012 Hike we will focus on upgrading Hite’s classrooms by replacing chalkboards with dry erase boards, as well as upgrading technology throughout our school. 

We raise funds by having our students collect pledges in return for “hiking” the Hite Cross Country team’s mile-long course on our school grounds.  After the hike, we celebrate the students’ hiking and fundraising success with refreshments, music, and inflatables.  

In addition to the pledges that the students collect, we also seek Corporate Sponsors for our Hike-a-Thon.  Depending on their level of support, we have a number of ways we recognize our Sponsors for their contributions to Hite.  If you know of a business who would like to be one of our Corporate Sponsors, please email the business’s contact information to hitepta@yahoo.com and we will reach out to them and explain the various sponsorship levels.  

On the day of the Hike, as well as on the days leading up to the Hike, we rely on parent volunteers to make this event a success.  If you are interested in helping out, please send an email to hitepta@yahoo.com and we’ll get you added to our volunteer list.
